A Safe Environment for our Junior Players
Capel Cricket Club is committed to providing an environment that is safe, welcoming and friendly for children to enjoy the game of cricket. To ensure this the club adheres to the ‘Safe Hands’ programme. This is a complete policy developed by the English Cricket Board (E.C.B.) and provides the framework and the tools for the Club to continuously monitor and, if necessary, improve the safety of the cricket environment for children and young people.
The Safe Hands policy means that Capel Cricket Club has:
- Appointed a Club Welfare Officer – Pauline Parker.
- Ensured that all coaching staff have a current DBS check in place and attended First Aid training as part of their coaching qualification.
- Implemented and communicated any relevant policy within the Safe Hands programme and conducts regular reviews on their effectiveness
Should you wish to discuss any of the above please contact Pauline, a member of the coaching staff or any Capel Cricket Club committee member.
